Well, it seems things have finally fallen into place around here. Since school started for the kids and I, life has been a little bit chaotic. My remodeling and reconstruction projects from the summer are complete…now all I have to do is get the units rented and I should be able to coast for a few months.
I’m taking a computer programming class that is totally kicking my ass this term. I haven’t made it to bed earlier than midnight since starting and it’s turning computer time into a chore. I’m enjoying it, mind you…but it’s turning into a epic battle of wills as the class gets more difficult. No worries though. I’m like a dog with a bone when it comes website and software code…I’ll tweak and edit until my eyes bleed and won’t stop til it’s done.
Both boys are having their own struggles with school work, but it looks like we may have made it over that hump too. Generally, the boys aren’t allowed to play video or computer games during the school week but I made the mistake of thinking they might be old enough to handle it now. Wrong. They started rushing through their homework assignments…doing the bare minimum…just so they could get to the tv/computer first. It was a simple solution…and I’m sure that they won’t hate me forever…no matter what they claim LOL.
Since I seem to be all caught up for at least the next two days, I do believe I shall take a nap before the rugrats get home.
