The birthday girl is hungover. Six of my nearest and dearest plus moi closed down Mexican night at the local dive. A good time was had by all, judging by the 3 still snoring bodies laying around my apartment.
Did you know that margaritas and mojitos are summer’s most perfect drinks? I charmed the bartender into teaching me how to make them last night. I never keep alcohol around the house because I don’t drink very often but I’ll be taking a trip to the liquor store today.
I recieved some lovely trinkets, books and girly stuffs that I would never buy for myself. The boys (with help from TheEx) bought me some large prints for the walls and a gift certificate for frames at the local art shop. TheEx is the king of quirky gifts and so he and TheWife bought me a rechargable gift card for Dunkin Donuts with enough to keep me supplied with Iced Coffees for the rest of the summer. And yes, we do still exchange gifts, much to the surprise and dismay of the man I’m currently dating apparently…but that’s a whole other story.
