It seems that Bitacle has made a slight change in the way they do things, due to the recent brouhaha. Instead of stealing an entire post, they’re just using excerpts. This is ‘better’, but the whole debacle has left a bad taste in my mouth. Slimy fuckers.
Having said that, if you use Wordpress for your blogging platform, I’d like to point you to a sweet little plug-in that will insert YOUR copyright information at the bottom of each post in your RSS feed. The plug-in is located here.
No TagsFurther info and a fix can be found here. If you host your own site, I strongly suggest that you read and follow the instructions to prevent the Bitacle bot from spidering your site. If you use a free blog host, such as Blogger or Typepad, I strongly suggest you send off an email to the tech support department demanding they block the Bitacle spiders from their servers.
To the few people that I am hosting, we’re protected as of 20 mins ago.
