It took 4 weeks and a dozen home visits before they found a good home. The worst one of the dozen had 6 cats. lol The lady that finally got them had 8 other parakeets and had a huge heated porch she turned into an aviary. (sp) So it was nice when I "let them fly" in that big place. I wonder if that lady still lives there after 14 years. It makes me sad. It really is a great program, not just for poor people, but for people who are concerned in the environment and waste. You should try to maybe sign up for other groups.
